Praziquantel is commonly used to treat the following parasitic infections:

Dosage & Administration for Parasitic Cleansing:

Adults & Children over 4 years: 40mg/kg as a single dose OR 20mg/kg twice daily for 1 day.

For Liver & Lung Flukes (Clonorchiasis, Opisthorchiasis, Paragonimiasis):
Adults & Children over 4 years: 25mg/kg three times a day for 2-3 days.

For Intestinal Tapeworms (Taeniasis):
Adults & Children over 4 years: 5-10mg/kg as a single dose.
Follow-up stool tests may be required to confirm eradication.

For Cysticercosis (Larval Tapeworm Infections):
Adults & Children over 4 years: 50mg/kg per day, divided into 3 doses, for 14 days.
Often combined with anti-inflammatory medications to prevent complications.
